Our Story
The Valle Caudina, a land of ancient history
The holiday apartment “Dal Cavaliere” is located in Montesarchio, one of the most characteristic villages in the province of Benevento, in the heart of the Valle Caudina: behind it rises the Taburno massif, in front the Partenio range, both Natural Parks.
The house stands on a picturesque hill dominated by the Aragonese Fortress and its Medieval Castle, which houses the National Archaeological Museum of the Sannio Caudino. The village traces its origins back to the ancient Samnite city of Caudium, protagonist of the famous episode of the Caudine Forks: the Romans fortified it under the name Monsarcis — fortified mount — from which today's name derives.
Renovated and completed in 2016, Dal Cavaliere Holiday Home is 18 km from Benevento, a few kilometres from Sant'Agata dei Goti and the famous Pietrelcina, and just a stone's throw from Forchia.
